Last updated: 23 May 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the HVDC World website and platform (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service
HVDC World provides data, analytics, and market intelligence on high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission infrastructure. Some features are free; others require a paid subscription.
Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity under it. You must provide accurate information and notify us of any unauthorised use.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by scraping or bulk-extracting data without authorisation, attempting to bypass access controls or security, reverse-engineering the platform, or using it for any unlawful purpose.
Intellectual property
The Service, its content, and underlying data compilations are owned by HVDC World or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Your account grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service; it does not transfer ownership of any content or data.
Data accuracy
Project and market data is provided for informational purposes and on an “as is” basis. Please review our Data Disclaimer before relying on any data.
Third-party links
The Service may link to third-party sites and content we do not control. We are not responsible for them.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HVDC World will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for any decision made in reliance on the Service or its data. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory local law provides otherwise.
Changes
We may update these Terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Questions? Contact us via our contact page.
