About
Viking Link
Viking Link is a 1,400 MW high voltage direct current (HVDC) electricity interconnector between the British and Danish transmission systems, connecting at Bicker Fen in England and Revsing in Denmark. Completed in 2023, it is currently the world's longest land and subsea HVDC interconnector, enabling the exchange of renewable energy and improving energy security for both countries.
The company is directly involved in HVDC transmission, specifically through the construction, operation, and maintenance of the 765 km HVDC submarine and land cable system that links the UK and Denmark, facilitating large-scale cross-border electricity transfer.
