TransWest Express

TransWest Express LLC is a company developing and constructing critical high-voltage interregional transmission infrastructure to enhance America's power grid reliability, with a focus on delivering renewable energy from Wyoming to the Desert Southwest region. The company is developing the 728-mile TransWest Express Transmission Line Project, which will connect the Chokecherry wind farm near Rawlins, Wyoming to a Marketplace substation near Boulder City, Nevada.

In the HVDC sector, TransWest Express is building a bipolar 600kV HVDC transmission line capable of transferring a maximum power of 3,000 megawatts, designed to reliably and cost-effectively deliver approximately 20,000 GWh/year of electric energy generated in Wyoming to Arizona, Nevada, and southern California.
