State Grid Brazil Holding (SGBH) is a Chinese company belonging to the State Grid Corporation of China group that has been operating in Brazil since 2010, currently owning 24 concessionaires and managing approximately 16,142 kilometers of transmission lines across 13 Brazilian states, making it one of the largest energy companies in the country.


SGBH has been involved in developing major HVDC projects, including the two transmission bipoles from the Belo Monte Power Plant—the largest transmission lines in the world—which utilize pioneering ±800 kV UATCC technology to deliver power across Brazil.
