In terms of HVDC activities, ScottishPower's Energy Networks division includes SP Transmission Ltd, which holds the transmission licence for central and southern Scotland and owns part of the Moyle Interconnector with Northern Ireland Electricity, managing an extensive network of over 3700km of overhead lines and 600km of underground cables.
