New York Power Authority
The New York Power Authority (NYPA) is the largest state public power utility in the United States, owned by the State of New York. NYPA operates 16 generating facilities and manages more than 1,400 circuit-miles of transmission lines, providing some of the lowest-cost electricity in the nation while focusing on clean, renewable power and energy efficiency initiatives.
NYPA is involved in the development and operation of high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission lines, leveraging innovative technology to enhance grid reliability and support the integration of renewable energy across New York State.
