As one of IEEE’s oldest and largest societies, PES develops industry standards, publishes leading research, organizes major conferences, and provides professional development opportunities for its more than 37,000 members.

In the field of HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current), IEEE PES plays a key role by producing technical standards, supporting expert working groups, and publishing research and technical papers that advance and ensure the reliable integration of HVDC technologies within modern power systems.
