GEIRI/C-EPRI
GEIRI/C-EPRI (Global Energy Interconnection Research Institute/China Electric Power Research Institute) is a subsidiary of the State Grid Corporation of China, focusing on applied research into technologies for new energies and intelligent power grids, with expertise in High Voltage Direct Current Energy Transmission, Intelligent Sensing, High-End Electrical Materials, and Energy Storage.
In the HVDC sector, GEIRI/C-EPRI has completed multiple projects in China and since 2018 has entered the European market, where they provide engineering, manufacturing, supply, installation supervision, and commissioning services for HVDC systems including converter stations, as demonstrated by their participation in the BorWin6 980-MW project in the North Sea.
