Electranix E-TRAN is a specialized software tool that automates the translation of power system data from phasor-based load flow and stability analysis programs, such as PSS/E, into PSCAD formats for electromagnetic transient (EMT) simulation. By streamlining the creation of detailed and accurate network equivalents and graphical representations, E-TRAN enables efficient and confident initialization and analysis of power systems in EMT environments.

For HVDC applications, E-TRAN supports the modeling and simulation of HVDC systems within its libraries, allowing users to accurately incorporate HVDC links and devices into comprehensive PSCAD-based system studies.
