About
Clean Path NY
Clean Path NY is a major $11 billion infrastructure initiative designed to deliver emissions-free renewable energy to New York, developed through a public-private partnership between Invenergy, energyRe, and the New York Power Authority. The project integrates over 20 new wind and solar generation assets, energy storage, and advanced transmission, with the goal of achieving New York's ambitious climate targets by reducing fossil fuel emissions and supporting economic and community development statewide.
Central to Clean Path NY is a 1,300 MW, 400kV underground high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission line, stretching 281 km and capable of transmitting large volumes of renewable energy efficiently from upstate sources to New York City, providing a backbone for the state’s renewable energy integration.
