About

China Southern Power Grid

China Southern Power Grid (CSG) is one of two major state-owned power grid companies in China, responsible for the investment, construction, and management of power transmission and distribution across five southern provinces—Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan, Guizhou, and Hainan—serving nearly 300 million people and accounting for 20% of the country's grid. Headquartered in Guangzhou and established in 2002, CSG plays a key role in cross-regional power transmission and power trading in China.

CSG is actively involved in the development, construction, and operation of high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission projects that enable efficient, long-distance electricity transfer across regions, helping to ensure stable and reliable power supply throughout its service territory.
