TransnetBW GmbH is one of four major electricity transmission system operators in Germany, responsible for operating, maintaining, and expanding the high-voltage transmission grid in Baden-Württemberg. Their network covers over 3,100 kilometers of 220- and 380-kV lines and ensures a reliable supply of electricity to more than 11 million people and key industries in the region, while also facilitating cross-border electricity flows within Europe.

TransnetBW is actively involved in high-voltage direct current (HVDC) technology projects, contributing to the modernization and expansion of Germany’s grid infrastructure to integrate renewable energies and improve grid stability for the future.
