NeuConnect
NeuConnect is developing the first direct electricity interconnector between Great Britain and Germany, creating a vital link between two of Europe’s largest energy markets. The project involves a 725 km subsea and underground cable capable of transmitting up to 1.4 GW of electricity in either direction, enough to power around 1.5 million homes.
NeuConnect’s core activity is the construction and operation of a high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission line, utilizing this efficient technology to transfer large amounts of electricity across long distances between the UK and Germany.
