NGCP (National Grid Corporation of the Philippines)

NGCP is a privately owned corporation established in 2009, responsible for operating, maintaining, and developing the Philippines' power transmission grid, which spans thousands of kilometers and connects the archipelago’s major islands. As the exclusive high-voltage transmission service provider, NGCP ensures the reliable delivery of electricity across the country and coordinates with various power generators, operating under standards set by the Philippine Grid Code and the Transmission Development Plan.

In the field of high-voltage direct current (HVDC), NGCP is engaged in interconnecting major island grids through HVDC transmission links, allowing for efficient bulk power transfer between distant regions and enhancing grid stability across the archipelago.
