HVDC-WISE

HVDC-WISE is a multidisciplinary European project that aims to provide the necessary framework for HVDC grid design to enable reliable and resilient planning and operation of future EU-GB grids, involving 14 partners from 11 countries representing academia, transmission system operators, and industry sectors.

In the HVDC domain, the project specifically investigates concepts and proposes solutions for large-scale HVDC-based transmission grid infrastructures, developing new reliability and resilience-oriented planning tools and identifying HVDC-based grid architectures that can improve system performance while facilitating the integration of renewable energy sources.
