About
Greenlink
Greenlink is a major energy infrastructure project that connects the power markets of Ireland and Great Britain through a subsea and underground electricity interconnector. The project aims to support low-carbon energy integration, enhance security of supply, and provide economic benefits such as job creation and reduced electricity costs.
Greenlink's core activity in HVDC (high-voltage direct current) technology is the construction and operation of a 190 km, 500 MW HVDC submarine power cable between County Wexford in Ireland and Pembrokeshire in Wales, commissioned in January 2025.
