Fingrid
Fingrid is Finland's national electricity transmission system operator, responsible for maintaining and developing the high-voltage electricity grid to ensure reliable and cost-effective electricity delivery across the country. The company is majority-owned by the Finnish state and plays a central role in shaping Finland's clean and market-oriented electricity system of the future.
Fingrid is actively involved in HVDC (high-voltage direct current) projects, including planning new submarine HVDC connections such as the Fenno-Skan 3 link between Finland and Sweden, which strengthens cross-border electricity transmission and supports the integration of renewable energy.
