Energinet
Energinet is an independent, state-owned public enterprise that operates and develops Denmark’s national electricity and natural gas transmission systems. Owned by the Danish Ministry of Climate and Energy, Energinet ensures high security of energy supply, manages energy infrastructure, and facilitates equal access for all users while supporting Denmark’s transition to a carbon dioxide free energy system.
Energinet is a co-owner of electrical interconnections to neighboring countries, including Norway, Sweden, and Germany, and is actively involved in the development and operation of high-voltage direct current (HVDC) links that enable cross-border electricity exchange essential for integrating renewable energy and balancing supply and demand.
