Amprion is one of the four major electricity transmission system operators in Germany, responsible for operating and expanding a vast high-voltage grid that serves around 29 million people and supports the national economy. As a regulated company, Amprion plays a key role in ensuring the secure, stable, and efficient transmission of electricity across Germany and Europe.

Amprion is actively involved in expanding its network with advanced technologies, including significant investments and projects in high-voltage direct current (HVDC) systems to support the energy transition and enhance grid flexibility and capacity.
