AltaLink is Alberta’s largest regulated electricity transmission company, supplying power to more than 85% of the province’s population through over 13,300 kilometers of transmission lines and 311 substations. Based in Calgary, AltaLink ensures safe, reliable, and cost-effective electricity delivery to homes, businesses, and industries across a 226,000 square kilometer service area.

AltaLink operates and maintains high-voltage transmission systems, including involvement in HVDC (high-voltage direct current) infrastructure, to support Alberta’s evolving energy mix and connect renewable generation sources to the grid, further enhancing system reliability and efficiency.
